About Denison

Cottonwood Creek Denison is a vibrant church with contemporary worship, Biblical teaching, a fun and bright Children's Ministry that includes infants through 5th grade students and a growing youth ministry for 6th through 12th grade students.

Just as our sister church in Allen can trace its faithful heritage back to 1882, Cottonwood Creek Denison's roots grow deep as well. Hyde Park Baptist Church began its ministry in 1957. Today, as we draw on the experience of the faithful members of Hyde Park, we are moving forward together to make a difference in the Denison Community. We provide new members and visitors a place to worship, learn, serve and care for one another.

Pastor

Pastor Danny Broughton
Danny and his wife, Sarah have been married for 17 years. They have 5 children - Christina, Mia, Lily, Micah, and Luke. They live here in Denison. Danny has ministered in churches in Louisiana and Texas. Danny earned a Bachelor of Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary. He is actively attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary for Master of Divinity. Danny enjoys camping with his family, riding his motorcycle, watching all sports, and reading books. His life verse is “ I am confident in one thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

Student Ministry Intern

After moving to Texas from South California in 2007, Nathan began to get plugged into the activities at Cottonwood Creek's main campus in Allen, TX. He later began volunteering for the Upward Sports Ministry, through his passion for the game he then became a sports intern at Cottonwood. Today Nathan leads the Student Ministry at the Cottonwood Creek Denison Campus. Nathan says he is eager to spread the gospel to anyone, but senses being called to the spiritual growth and maturity of this generation's youth. Nathan feels that by his unique testimony, he can relate to a very diverse group of children and youth.
