About the Class: Our class is especially for young couples, whether you're just starting your life together or are ready to begin your own family. We are dedicated to teaching the truth as found in the Word of God, as well as preparing couples to succeed in marriage while keeping Christ as the focus of the family. We offer many different opportunities for fellowship, with activities geared towards men, women and the whole family. Evans/Blake Class

About the Class: In addition to teaching lessons that are rooted in the Bible, we discuss those topics that are especially important to us as we settle into married life and begin to start a family. We also offer many opportunities to get together in smaller settings for Bible study, meals and other fun events. Taught by one of our most experienced teachers, this class is great for any couple looking to grow together and keep Christ as the center of their family.

Cook/Johnson Class

About the Class: The Cook/Johnson class has couples in their 30s and 40s with preschoolers all the way to middle school. Justin Cook and Kevin Johnson alternate teaching the class each week. Our class members serve in a variety of areas such as the Welcome Desk and Children's Area on most Sunday mornings.  Each quarter, the social committee plans either a Men’s Night Out or a Ladies Night Out. Also, the class schedules periodic Couples Nights and Family Outings throughout the year. Visitors are always welcome!lifegroup1

Ross/Gallimore Class

About the Class: We are a dynamic Life Group for married couples with children ages from 3 to 12 years old. We offer strong Christian fellowship, deep Biblical teaching and plenty of opportunities for outreach and ministry. About the Class: We are a relationship-based group that comes together for fellowship and Bible study in a casual, conversational atmosphere. We encourage casual/comfortable attire, friendly and fun-loving interaction and a “Be yourself” attitude - we love to laugh and have a good time! The teaching style is contemporary, Biblically based, and focused on providing the link between God’s Word and our daily lives. We also have regular social events for couples and families including holiday parties, lunches, dinners, and other activities such as bowling, movie nights, date nights, and family nights.


Hope and Humor Biedebach/Hadden Class

About the Class: Ranging from the early 30s to mid 40s, our married couples have children between 10 to 18. We have a fun and friendly class with a calendar of events for both the ladies and the guys. The first Sunday of the month we go out to eat as a group and laugh way too much. We love studying God’s Word and eagerly apply it to our lives. We strive for a deeper walk with Christ and encourage a servant’s heart. Our Life Group also offers a “Bible Diggers” class led by one of our men once a week which is intended to lead us even deeper into Scripture. Our desire is to make you feel welcome and to eventually provide you with a Life Group home.Img 92272


Benno/McVeigh/Jenkins Class

About the Class: We have an energetic class that is very welcoming to visitors. We enjoy a Biblically-based, discussion oriented style of teaching. We follow the church curriculum plus occasional topical lessons when relevant. Our class has a full social calendar including Couples Socials, Men’s and Women’s Night Out, Date Night, and family fellowships with the kids. We also have a heart for Missions and are currently pursuing opportunities to minister in our community and around the world. We’d love to have you join us!


Harbor/Harless/Mitchell/Richardson Class

About the Class: Our mission is to provide a forum for all family members, including adults, youth and children, to deepen their knowledge of the Bible and their commitment to God through age-appropriate studies, acts of service and family activities, while providing all adults the opportunity to teach for the purpose of training up future servants for Christ and deepening all members’ understanding of God’s Word.

Living Faith Class

About the Class:
The GMC class is a place where your whole family can plug in at Cottonwood.  We’re a new class (less than a year) dedicated to encouraging and supporting each other as we raise our families and grow closer together as couples.  But most importantly we have a heart for Jesus and His Word – studying it together and sharing it with those around us – that’s the foundation for everything we do.  We have a lot of fun meeting monthly for family lunches after church and alternating men’s and ladies’ nights out each month.  We’re a class that serves both in the church and is on mission, striving to involve your whole family in missions.  We want to be a place you will always feel comfortable inviting your neighbors, co-workers and friends.  Come join us!


Weichel/Hewitt Class

About the Class: Our class is committed to the study of and instruction from the Word of God. We strive to apply God’s Word to our daily lives.  Class time opens with a time of fellowship, followed by teaching, and we close in prayer. Teaching is most often studying the Bible in an expository style that includes group discussion. We do also have occasional topical studies related to marriage, parenting or other pertinent topics.lifegroups2 We believe prayer is also an essential part of our time together and we have an active prayer life, closing each class with requests, praises and prayer time together.
 
Our class targets to have and plans six class wide social/fellowship events each year, with a blend of family events and a few just for adults. We also hold monthly women’s (Ladies Night Out) and men’s (Fellowship) events. The class also eats lunch together the last Sunday of each month in order to strengthen and foster relationships within our class.
 
Many members of our class are active in all areas of ministry within CCBC. We are a class that is passionate about sharing the Gospel to those who don’t know Christ within our community and beyond. We have class members that participate in foreign and US missions, but we also are involved with local activities such as the State Fair, Fun with the Son, McKinney Trade Days, etc. We are family-fun oriented while always being mindful and prayerful of each other and others that our Life Group family touches.

About the Class: We are seeking Christian fellowship with the ultimate purpose of growing in our relationship with Christ, not only to benefit ourselves but to also be a witness in our community and around the world for Jesus Christ. Our Interactive and Biblically-based lessons are on topics applicable to everyday life. Our class is laid back and full of families with young kids. We are cognizant of having social events for both families and couples only.
About the Class: Our desire is to facilitate a friendly, interactive environment focused on applying God’s Word to practical life situations. Our inductive Bible studies are thought provoking and faith stretching as we vary format from Old to New Testament on subjects ranging from a Biblical portrait of marriage, world religions, and the Fruit of the Spirit. As we encourage building closer relationships with other believers, we provide an atmosphere of accountability for growth. Through this growth, we expect to deploy members to the Lord’s service in our church, community, and world.

About the Class: We believe that a strong marriage is the foundation for successful families and focus on strengthening our marriages and family relationships through Biblical principles. We encourage active participation as they study God’s Word and discussion is welcome. We celebrate our successes and encourage each other through the difficult times as well. There is also a great deal of fellowship outside of class as well - such as parties and social events.

Freeman/Mills/Westback Class

About the Class: A class for those ages 35 to 50 that are focused on building a Life Group to reach this generation with solid biblical teaching and positive personal relationships. We encourage building closer relationships with other believers, we provide an atmosphere of accountability for growth. We celebrate success and encourage each other through the difficult times as well.
We offer a great deal of fellowship outside of class as well - such as parties and social events. Our Life Groups also eats lunch together each month in order to strengthen and build relationships within our class. Many of our class members are also active in all areas of ministry within CCBC such as AWANAs, and children ministry.
This class is great for anyone looking to grow together and keep Christ as the center of their family. We believe that a vibrant and energetic Life Group will bless and enrich your life.

Pastor's Class

About: This is a new Life Group. The Executive Pastor, Scott Sanford plans to lead this class through various books of the Bible. This class is great for anyone looking to grow together and keep Christ as the center of their family. We believe that this vibrant and energetic Life Group will bless and enrich your life.

About the Class: This class consists of energetic parents of children between the ages of newborns up to 10 years old and we also have some grandparents. Who all know how to have a good time while studying God's Word. We like to have parties, movie nights, hunting/fishing. This class is for husbands and wives to join and have a great time, apply God's Word to our lives and then see great things happen. We are people who are trusting, God and following his Word, and doing the best we know how. Our motto is “Taking God and His infallible Word seriously while not taking ourselves seriously.”

Davidson/Powers Class

About the Class: Taught by a teacher who is very thorough and in-depth with his lesson preparation and Bible study, we are a great class for anyone who is looking to make friends at the church. They are very discussion driven and seek to make visitors feel welcome from the time they come in the room. Most class members are empty nesters so we are a very active class that enjoys camping, bowling and several outings and parties throughout the year. In addition to our activities, we try to get away on 2 couples retreats and 2 ministry service projects each year also. You will not be sorry you paid us a visit.

Bennett/Schell Class

About the Class: One of the largest Life Groups in the church, this class offers an interactive setting where active discussion is encouraged as we study God’s Word. We believe that a vibrant and energetic Life Group will bless and enrich your life as you grow in your knowledge of the Word and make lasting friendships.  There are monthly prayer meetings, lifegroup3-2men’s accountability groups, ladies fellowships, small group dinners, social events, and missions and benevolence activities. McKenzie/Bibbee Class

About the Class: A class for those in their 40s and 50s designed to minister to those with senior high students or older. Prayer, Thankful, Joyful - God's Will for You Class.

About the Class: Our class focuses on finding relevance and practical application of God’s word to our everyday lives. An interactive group of believers which uses fellowship, discussion and a sharing of life’s experiences to grow deeper in our faith in Jesus Christ while applying  His word and will to our lives. We encourage building closer relationships with one another as believers; knowing that those relationships will be the foundation of love and support to others in need whether in our class, the church or our communities. We will enjoy the blessings of Christian fellowship with fun activities/parties outside of the classroom environment. These will focus on the needs of couples, men, and women, while also participating in opportunities to serve as a class to meet the needs of a lost and uninformed world. We believe that this vibrant and energetic Life Group will bless and enrich your life.

Locklear/Harrott Class

About the Class: Hebrews 10:23-25 NAS describes this Life Group:  “…encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near." Our class time begins with singing hymns, then being lead into sharing God’s Word and how it pertains to us today. We also share lots of laughter and good natured sports rivalry.  We are blessed by many prayer warriors, as we share each other's burdens and joys. Bi-monthly we have a couple’s brunch and a ladies night out. Everyone is welcome even if you are no longer a couple. Our class is "a group that takes care of each other."  Some are retired and some are still gainfully employed. Many of us moved here to be closer to our children and grandchildren. Most of us are in denial that we are old enough to be senior citizens!

Whisenhunt/Bordonaro: The Encouragers Class

About the Class: Caring and sharing is the backbone of this class. Looking for a class that engages in serious Bible study on a weekly basis? This is your place. Here you will find solid biblical teaching of the Bible, book by book. We encouragelifegroup4 class participation and discussion as we study God's word. We love to have visitors and always extend an enthusiastic welcome. We want our visitors to feel at home. Don't be fooled by our serious side though, we know how to have fun. We have frequent lunches after church on Sunday as well as several socials and parties throughout the year. Fellowship with us this Sunday and we will help you feel right at home.
