What Does the School of Fine Arts Offer?

Private sessions are offered for: Piano, Voice, Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Guitar, Drums/Percussion, Music Theory, Art, and American Sign Language (ASL)

Group sessions are offered for: Piano, Art and Music Theory

What Will Participants Receive?

Sessions are held on the campus of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, and are taught by the finest faith-based educators in the DFW area. Private sessions will be customized for each student and designed to tailor the education around each student and how they learn.

Private Sessions

Weekly sessions are held on the campus of Cottonwood Creek with the finest faith-based educators in the DFW area.  You can choose to enroll for a 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute session per week.  You will also be given the option to enroll for as little as 1 month at a time up to 12 months.

Registration and Fees

•     •  First and last month’s tuition is due at the time of enrollment
      •  A one-time registration fee of $40 is due at the time of enrollment and is non-refundable
•     •  Maximum family-unit registration fee (more than one student) only $60

Tuition payments can be made in full or with monthly installments, which are due on the first session of the month. Your customized enrollment period is equal to the number of sessions for which you register.

FOR EXAMPLE

    12 sessions = 3 months
    24 sessions = 6 months
    48 sessions = 12 months

Monthly Installments

A late fee of $10 will be assessed to the monthly installment if payment is not received by the 10th day of the month.
 

Group Courses

Music Makers Summer Camp 

About:
Join us as we explore the wonderful world of music through singing, movement, games, stories and crafts! We’ll shake, bang, rattle and roll as we play many different instruments, including pianos, drums, shakers and more!

All 4 Day Camps are held in our new piano classroom and are taught by a certified elementary music teacher. Parents are invited for the last 20 minutes, on the last day of each camp, for a special performance.

When:
JAZZY JAMBOREE (June 10-13 from 9:00a - 12:00p)
It’s a foot stompin’ good time when we move and groove to the sounds of Jazz! With the help of Satchmo Cat, we’ll learn about the instruments and the story behind this great style of music!

FIDDLIN’ FOLK (June 24-27 and July 15-18 from 9:00a - 12:00p)
Step back in time for some fiddlin’ fun as we sing and dance to old folk favorites! Then head on over to a barn dance hoedown where we’ll play our own handmade folk instruments!

SYMPHONY SURPRISE! (July 22-25 and July 29 - August 1 from 9:00a - 12:00p) 
Discover the music within as we swing, sway and swoon to sounds of the symphony! Look out for a surprise visit from some animal friends as they teach us about instruments of the orchestra!

SING! PLAY! CREATE! (June 24 - 27 and July 29 - August 2 from 1:00p - 4:00p)
Discover your musical self through songs, vocal exercises, rhythmic games, and instruments!  Experience the keyboard in our brand new Piano Lab where we will learn basic keyboard geography, rhythm reading, and an ensemble piece to perform!  You'll be inspired to create your own musical compositions as well as some really cool musical crafts to take home!

K - 2nd Grade 2013 - 2014 school year for Jazzy Jamboree, Fiddlin' Folk, and Symphony Surprise.

3rd - 5th Grade 2013 - 2014 school year for Sing! Play! Create!

Summer Art Courses

Adventures in Art

About:
Explore the joy of creating while learning about art history, world cultures, a range of techniques, creative thinking and self-expression!

Students will enjoy creating art in a non-competitive environment, while receiving one-on-one instruction to ensure success and quality results. Students can expect to create 8-10 works of art each week! Camps include ALL supplies and a daily healthy snack/drink.

Group Piano Sessions

About:
Learning to play the piano has never been so much fun! Students look forward to lessons each week as they learn to play the piano in a group with their friends! 

Our highly successful group piano method combines theory games and fun sheets with motivational incentives and awards. Christmas and Spring recitals offer opportunities for solo and ensemble performances each year. All classes are held in our brand new Piano Lab and taught by experienced, certified instructors. 

Students are required to own a piano or keyboard for home practice. This is a 9 month course; however students will have the opportunity to keep up their playing skills during the summer months by participating in summer camps.
