About the Class: Our class is committed to the study of and instruction from the Word of God. We strive to apply God’s Word to our daily lives. Class time opens with a time of fellowship, followed by teaching, and we close in prayer. Teaching is most often studying the Bible in an expository style that includes group discussion. We do also have occasional topical studies related to marriage, parenting or other pertinent topics. We believe prayer is also an essential part of our time together and we have an active prayer life, closing each class with requests, praises and prayer time together.
Our class targets to have and plans six class wide social/fellowship events each year, with a blend of family events and a few just for adults. We also hold monthly women’s (Ladies Night Out) and men’s (Fellowship) events. The class also eats lunch together the last Sunday of each month in order to strengthen and foster relationships within our class.
Many members of our class are active in all areas of ministry within CCBC. We are a class that is passionate about sharing the Gospel to those who don’t know Christ within our community and beyond. We have class members that participate in foreign and US missions, but we also are involved with local activities such as the State Fair, Fun with the Son, McKinney Trade Days, etc. We are family-fun oriented while always being mindful and prayerful of each other and others that our ABF family touches.
